Vice President Wang Chuang participated in the First Presidents (Dean) Forum of "The Belt and Road" Railway International Talent Education Alliance

     On April 12th, SWJTU(Southwest Jiaotong University), as the rotating director unit of "The Belt and Road" Railway International Talent Education Alliance, invited representatives from universities such as Central South University, Chang'an University, Nanjing Institute of Railway Technology, Zhengzhou Railway Vocational Technical College, Guangzhou Railway Polytechnic, and representatives from China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation, China Railway First Survey And Design Institute Group Co.,Ltd., China Road and Bridge Corporation, etc. gathered in Chengdu to hold the First Presidents (Dean) Forum. On the forum representatives discussed the international railway talent training program. Vice president of our institute Wang Chuang, representatives of the International Cooperation and Exchange Office and Department of Railway Engineering participated in this forum.

    At the meeting, Wang Chuang introduced the following three aspects of exploration and achievements of our Institute: overseas railway project training, Sino-Russian cooperation in running schools, and international railway personnel training. He also showed the results of the overseas railway training program and the Chinese and English handouts formed by our teachers based on the Mombasa-Nairobi Standard Gauge Railway (SGR) project, and made pertinent suggestions on the sharing of resources and win-win cooperation among members of the alliance.

    During the Meeting break, Wang Chuang exchanged ideas with the head of international programs SWJTU on the cooperation of overseas railway training. He proposed to further expand the communication channels, create more opportunities for our teachers and students to study and exchange abroad, at the same time, our institute welcomes excellent foreign teachers and students to come for exchanges.(Wang Yunbo, Li Qikang)
