Introduction of the Department of Bridge Engineering Technology

Currently the total number of full-time students from the department of railway engineering technology has exceeded 2000. There is a teaching staff of 68, including 4 provincial well-known teachers, 28 associate professors with a senior engineer title, 3 doctors and 40 masters. Up to 95% of our teaching staff have been qualified to teach double majors, and 18 of them have acquired national first-level registered constructor, engineer of test detection and other certifications, gradually forming a well-structured, educational qualified and innovative teaching group. Our department has been nominated the reform demonstrative department of innovation and entrepreneurship. Our bridge office and material office have successively been nominated provincial teaching groups, and 4 teachers were nominated provincial well-known teachers, and one teacher won the prize of HuangYanpei outstanding professional training teacher. We have successively sent 16 teachers to Germany, Singapore and Australia to acquire cultivation. Full-time teachers have been sent to enterprises to practice in turns, and offered 39 technical services. Our teaching staff has won 9 prizes of teaching achievement and published 8 teaching materials.

Our department is dedicated to strengthen the construction of practical training, built the one and only engineering office of high-performance concrete in Shaanxi province, owned 14 in-school training bases and 1 bridge innovative office, and co-established 31 training bases with China Railway Corporation and other enterprises. Meanwhile, we have provided students with various after-school activities to cultivate their overall quality with the carrier of bridge union, Taiji association and other social constructions. The trend for our graduates is seen positively and the employment rate has been maintained at 99% in the past few years.

Bridge Engineering Technology (national first-class major, national key major)

Employment directions: mainly targeted to large-and-medium-sized state-owned enterprises such as China Railway Corporation, China Railway Construction Corporation, China Transport, Chinese Construction Corporation and some regional rail corporations, etc., and engaged in the surveying, designing, construction technical managing,bridge detection and maintenance of highways, railways, municipal works, etc.

Civil EngineeringInspection Technology (national key major, first-class major (educational))

Employment directions: mainly targeted to large-and-medium-sized state-owned enterprises in railways, highways, municipals, constructions, urban railway system, etc., and engaged in engineering testing and detecting, and detection and maintenance of the equipment. 

Municipal Engineering Technology

Employment directions: mainly oriented to large-and-medium-sized enterprises such as Chinese Construction Corporation, China Railway Corporation, China Railway Construction Corporation, etc., engaged in municipal roads and bridges, utility tunnel, highways, railways, construction technical management of urban railway-transportation engineering, designing of surveying engineering, and maintenance and repair of the equipment.
